From the 1300s to the 1700s
The building that houses the Luxury B & B Tra le Mura Stellate dates back to 1700, but some documents in the Cherasco library attest that the construction of the very first residence dates back to 1333 and the owners were Antonia de Sinfredo et Bartolinis eius frate. At the beginning of the renovation works, the surveys carried out by the Piedmont Archaeological Heritage superintendent testify to the ancient foundations.
Le Mura Stellate: the Starry Walls
The B&B name Tra le Mura Stellate (Within the Starry Walls) has a double meaning. The architectural one, as the B&B is set within the ancient city walls, built in 1559 – a few steps from the 14th-century Visconti castle – and the emotional meaning: Tra Le Mura Stellate is the title of a famous novel set in Cherasco and written by Gina Lagorio. A book that Luisanna and Paolo – the B&B founders – have always loved.
Luisanna and Paolo wanted to give the Luxury B & B Tra le Mura Stellate a personal touch, making it the ideal destination for an exclusive and memorable stay. They have maintained the historical character of the building: the rooms overlook the 14th-century St. Gregorio’s Church; with valuable works of art and frescoes by Pozzi and Aliberti.
